Followtheeye_2 THIS IS AN UPDATE ON MY PREVIOUS POST: I have recently set up a Google alert for BARON ZERO and it is slowly helping me tracking down all the sites where my music is available for streaming, download or sales.

MAKING THINGS BIGGER & BETTER: "LE BLOG DU BARON" LISTED AT HYPE MACHINE

Hypemachine_2Nice one: after a long wait, I'm pleased to announce that LE BLOG DU BARON has finally been listed on the excellent Hype Machine.

If you have landed here via Hype, a warm welcome: make yourself comfortable, browse around and if you feel like discovering yet another bit of new music, click on the black box to your right and download some of Baron Zero stuff.

If you don't know Hype yet, well you very much should so go and have a look here.

BARON ZERO IS BACK ON MYSPACE: WANT TO BE FRIENDS ?

BaronzeromyspaceHalleluia, Baron Zero is back on MySpace ! I finally got myself into gear and put together the new Baron Zero MySpace page. And I'm not totally unhappy with the way it looks if I may say so myself.

What do you think ? Have a look here.

SOUNDS LIKE A BARON CALLING: BARON ZERO RINTONES AT PHONESHERPA

BzophonesherpaI have now created an account on PhoneSherpa where you can buy Baron Zero phone rings - check it out  here.

But to tell the truth, I'm not completly satisfied with it since 1/ number of ringtones is limited to 4 and I've got so many more and 2/ I wanted to make them all available for free but you need to pay to get this option ...

Paying to give things away for free: seems like a strange logic to me ! So if anybody knows of a better platform, I'm interested.

A SOFT SPOT FOR SONGSPOT: BARON ZERO ON SONIFIC MUSIC NETWORK

Sonific LLC (founded by Gerd Leonhard who, amongst many things, co-wrote the 'Future of Music') announced yesterday the launch of Sonific Music Network - see press release here. The core of Sonific is Songspot TM, a streaming music widget available for use on blogs, social networks, photo-sharing sites, personal web-pages, and many web2.0 applications (in total 42 platforms to date !).

In addition to the current catalogue of 150,000 songs, independant artists can now upload their music on SMN. Joining is free so there is no reason not to stream your favourite Baron Zero track on your site, which would look like this:

All Baron Zero songs are available on Sonific here.

NOT A MIDGET OF A GADGET: GET A FREE BARON ZERO WIDGET

Baronzerowidget_2I have created yet another digital store webpage on 7Digital (which was recently covered by the Guardian) - check Baron Zero Indiestore here.

And what is even more cool: you can get a specific Baron Zero widget to feature on your site.

Come on, you know you want it, get it here !

BARON FOR SALE: WHERE TO FIND "FOLLOW THE EYE"

Followtheeye_2 I have recently set up a Google alert for BARON ZERO and it is slowly helping me tracking down all the sites where my music has been put on sales. I still have to sort out selling directly from Baron Zero's MySpace page but in the meantime, here is where you can find your favourite baron as of today:

Looking at it, there are quite a few big ones missing (Magnatune, CD Baby, Amazon) and when I have a minute, I'm quite keen to try and use the widget put on line by Brad here to set up my own digital store.

But in the meantime, if anybody has any other suggestion, drop me a line ...

BARON ZERO GOES DIGITAL: FIRST SALE ON THE NET

Spidmail_6Nice one: I have made my first digital sale and now officially become a certified web 2.0 talent. No details  about who bough which track when where though. A shame, I would have been ready to send him/her a personalised thank you card !

PS: granted, becoming rich will  take some patience at 0.16$ a piece ...

THE PERFECT GIFT FOR XMAS ... OR EARLIER: BARON ZERO ON iTUNES

Nice: the first album of Baron Zero is now on sales on iTunes, as well as a few other internet platforms Itunes_1 such as Rhapsody and eMusic. Go check it out NOW !

And I'm also trying Kevin Kelly's trick to also get the CD on sales on Amazon.com, possibly with a few improvements fo my own. We'll see if it works ...

ONE MORE STEP TOWARDS SUPER-STARDOM: COMPILATION CDs AND PODCASTS

I have really gotten into liking Fridays lately. And this one is turning up to be as enjoyable as last  week's. Battleoftheband2_1

First I faxed the contract back to VH1 to feature No Easy Way on their "Best song ever" podcast; and trust me, I will let the world know when and where it is available.

And second, I just receive 50 compilation CD of the "Battle of the Band II" with No easy Way as track No.10. Quite a nice feeling to hold this in my hands but what I'm going to do with all these CDs ? Anybody got an idea ?
