If you have been reading some of this blog, it should be obvious to you that this is not only about the music (however hard I work on it and however great you may find it).
It is about the story, my story as a musician but also as a person.
I don't believe it is necessary to share everything in order to build connection but I know that I care more about the people I know and this also applies to the musicians I love.
BRITTANY COOPER wrote a very good post going in the same direction on ECHOES, from which I copied a few lines:
If you write music or perform or breathe in and out on a regular basis, you have a story. The key is identifying it and effectively sharing it with your fans because, regardless of what you may think, they actually do want to hear it.
Fans want to be more than just listeners, they want to be involved, and the artists who have figured this out are rising to the top.
