Following on from yesterday, there is an interesting post from Dave Cool on MUSIC THINK TANK here. In his serie of 4 posts (out of which 3 have been published till now), Dave is covering the "4 Ps of playing live" ie Preparation, Promotion, Performance and Post show.
He has just published the post on "Performance" and I particularly liked his last point on audience involvement. This is something I have wanted to do during my previous sets (I even planned which songs would give me the best opportunity) but always felt a bit shy when the time actually came. Obviously involving the audience is easier said than done (I have this vision of going "alltogether now" and getting only an echo as answer) but this is how you build a night to remember.
